Why Native Child?
Native Child's lessons are designed to add value to your child. They are organised around your child's development, with special attention to each child's emotional life and personality.
In a safe and trusting environment, children learn through play to interact with others and develop social skills. The focus and intention is that every child feels good in their own skin, learns to recognise their own emotions, and becomes increasingly able to build valuable relationships.
By consciously paying attention to emotions and feelings, what occupies children becomes clear. It not only makes them more aware of their own emotions, they also gain insight into the inner world of others. This is an important quality they will need throughout life to work and live together. Through this, children develop their own identity, self-confidence, empathy and conscience faster, and they adopt values and norms. This leads to strong social and emotional well-being.
'Music is always connected to emotions.' This is widely supported by psychologists and child pedagogues. Literature and internet research on the connection between 'emotion-music-children' provides a lot of interesting information on this topic. Some background articles:

Children themselves can also be compared to music: unique, flexible and pure. Music is the spontaneous overflow of powerful emotions. At Native Child we want to support the emotional foundation of children aged 4 to 7. A child's personality is formed until around the age of 7. Emotions play a crucial role in later development.
We also focus on children between 8 and 12 years old, when friendships are very important, their identity is developing and they can reflect better on themselves: their possibilities, limitations, characteristics, wishes, feelings and qualities.
Children of this age become emotionally more stable through their maturation process.
At 11 and 12, children also enter puberty. The combination of all social-emotional changes with hormonal changes can make children temporarily less emotionally stable and less self-confident.
That is why our motto is: Music, Heart, Head and Hands.
Quotes that Native Child identifies with: – Music is the shorthand of emotion. Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910) – Music is a stimulant for the pineal gland. Music is not Bach or Beethoven; music is the can-opener of the soul. It calms you inside, you feel there is a roof over your existence. Henry Miller (1891-1980) – Let's make sure our children learn about emotions for a better future. Daniel Goleman (American psychologist, writer and science journalist; he introduced the concept of emotional intelligence).
